1) Nominations Still Open

VegMichigan is still accepting nominations for the
2007/2008 board of directors. If you or someone you know
is interested in getting more involved with VegMichigan,
please contact Wendy at wendy at vegmichigan.org. Experience
is not required but an interest in helping the animals, the
planet and other humans is helpful.

The deadline for submissions is Sunday, September 9. Those
interested in being nominated should attend the September
board meeting (see below).

2) Annual Meeting Open to All Members

All VegMichigan members are invited to attend the September
board meeting. VegMichigan's annual report will be
presented and all paid members are eligible to vote for the
incoming board of directors. The meeting will be held on
Tuesday, September 11 at 7PM at Harry Pianko's house. For
directions or more information, please contact Wendy at
wendy at vegmichigan.org

Please note that members are welcome to attend all board
meetings.

(Friday evening through Sunday morning) for a wonderful
time in Columbiaville (10 miles NW of Lapeer) at the
Tibbits Nature Sanctuary and Land Stewardship Center. There
will be food, games, classes, hikes, canoeing, camping, a
bonfire and more. Delicious vegan meals will be prepared
for attendees.

(garbanzo beans in a mild tangy tomato sauce), vegetable
korma (mixed vegetables with a coconut and cashew gravy),
lentil dal, aloo palak (potatoes and spinach), and a vegan
dessert made with lentils and brown sugar.

Lazenby Field or Merchants #2 Field (in Berkley). (There
will be no games on September 3, 2007.)

Everyone is welcome, even if you can only make it to some
of the games, and we'd love to have you join the kickball
team! Registration is limited to the first 20 people 18
years of age or older to sign up. The cost is $20 for
members of VegMichigan and $30 for non-members. This
