"Wreaths, Wool & Walking Sticks! Create a gift for yourself or others....

 *Saturday, December 12, 2009* *2 - 5 pm,* Come at 1 pm for a Natural
Building tour of the grounds !

*At this workshop you can make a . . .
*

   - Grapevine Wreath ~ and decorate it with plants from this
   land...bittersweet, rosehips, and more.
   - Felted wool ball ~ try your hand at felting a soft sturdy ball with
wool from the sheep at 3 Roods Farm in Columbiaville, MI. This is a fun &
   practical gift for the grandkids!
   - Corded bracelet ~ learn to cord from local natural materials. The
bracelet can be a reminder of you as well as of our connection to nature.
   - Walking Stick. Select a pole pre-cut, or harvest your own. Using a
drawknife and whittling knife if you would like to make your pole smooth.
Drill a hole and add a leather handle if you wish.

This is an opportunity to connect directly with nature...and enjoyable to be
in the presence of others.

It is a pleasure to smell bees wax, explore locally growing plants, work
with raw wool and sculpt the earth.

Take home your treasures at the end of the day. Bring hand clippers if you
have them, and perhaps a snack to share.
